Teeth Whitening / Power Bleaching

Top Dentist Award - Masterpiece Smiles

Patients who want a white and glistening smile can opt for power bleaching services or standard teeth whitening procedures. What is the difference between these two teeth whitening services?

Power bleaching is a powerful in-office whitening treatment. The hydrogen peroxide content is much higher–30 to 35 percent. At-home whitening treatments have a hydrogen peroxide content of about 10 to 16 percent. Power bleaching offers faster and more obvious results and doesn’t require patients to use dental trays or strips at home. However, for an ultra-bright smile, patients can combine the power bleaching treatment with take-home trays.

Some patients want more subtle whitening. Masterpiece Smiles can tailor the whitening treatment to create a smile that looks natural but still bright. Take-home trays could be the ideal choice for these patients.

Both the professional-strength take-home whitening trays and the in-office power bleaching treatment offer fewer issues for patients than standard store-purchased whitening products. While some over-the-counter whitening products cause tooth pain or soreness, the whitening products offered by Masterpiece Smiles should not cause pain. However, to ensure that teeth stay white and bright, patients might steer clear of foods and beverages that can stain the teeth like certain berries, tea and coffee.
